Slate pictorial cloth designed inn black, lettered in gilt. The spine is unlettered. Oval device and ruled boxes in blind on rear cover. Pale yellow end papers. Title page printed in black & red. Frontispiece in colour, title, and 47 leaves with chromolithographic illustrations, printed on rectos only. Ownership inscription on the front end paper dated 1883. One leaf has a tear to the lower edge, which has an old tape repair, now yellowed; some rubbing to hinges and light fraying to spine ends, a clean very good copy. There are a couple of short tears to lower margins, and mostly light offsetting of a few plates. The contents are: The True Story of Little Bo-Peep / The Pig Bought With A Silver Penny / The Children's Cinderella / Cock Robin / The Children's Little Red Riding Hood / The Ten Little Niggers / The Children's Babes in the Wood / Robinson Crusoe. Very scarce.
