Brown pictorial cloth, the front cover designed in dark brown, spine and front cover lettered in black & brown. Frontispiece and seven inserted plates containing twelve photographic illustrations. Blank front fly leaf missing, some discoloration to end papers, moderate dust soiling to the edge of the front cover; in general, quite a clean and attractive, very good copy. This is a later binding of the first edition, with a sixteen-page publisher's catalogue at the rear dated Spring, 1912. An important account of early logging in British Columbia. A very uncommon book in the original edition.
