Copper engraved map on laid paper, uncoloured. Two cartouches at top right and lower left. The cartouche at the lower left prints a dedication to D. Iacobo Wiits from Guilj. et Joh. Blaeu. Plate size is 52.5cm x 41.5cm, on a sheet measuring 63cm x 54cm. Text on verso is in Dutch, headings are EYGEN-VLAENDEREN and RYCKS-VLAENDEREN. Tailpiece and two initials on verso. Page number on verso is 30, signature mark Dd. Old stain to upper left margin, scattered foxing, a nice clean copy. Remains of paper tape label in margin at top centre. Probably from the Dutch edition of the atlas: Theatrum Orbis Terrarum sive Atlas Novus / Volume II, published by Willem and Joan Blaeu, [1635-1655].
