1 Wait (Frona Eunice) Yermah The Dorado.
San Francisco: Doxey, 1897. First edition. Maroon decorative buckram, designed in black & gilt. 2-page frontispiece map. Some bumping of corners, a bit of wear to spine ends, in general a clean and attractive very good copy. On the front end paper is the bookplate of fantasy collector William Hopkins. There were 500 copies printed of this issue; there was also a special binding of white cloth which was limited to 150 copies. A revised edition was published by Harriman in 1913. An eccentric novel of Atlantis, set in the San Francisco Bay Area around 9250 B.C. Yerman represents the ideal man: a statesman, warrior, poet and thinker. Bleiler: SF: The Early Years: 2274. Eichner: Atlantean Chronicles, pg. 193.
