Title: Endless Fun: or, The Comic Annual.
Publisher:  Philadelphia: Carey and Hart, 1838. First edition.
Seller ID: 50647
Original quarter cloth & boards, brown patterned cloth on the spine, printed paper spine label. There is considerable foxing to the entire book, moderate rubbing of the boards and wear to the edges, the paper label shows some rubbing, but is basically all legible; the front outer hinge is split, and the upper cover nearly detached; a very good copy otherwise. Presumably this is the American issue of THE COMIC ANNUAL for 1838, the British edition of which was published by A.H. Baily and Co. Eleven issues of the Annual were produced. In this one Hood takes a swipe at Izaak Walton in A RISE AT THE FATHER OF ANGLING; also a piece on Animal Magnetism.
