A large color silkscreen measuring 19 x 29.25 inches, # 18 of 50 numbered copies, signed by Okamura. Fine condition. This image was used as the cover for Robert Creeley's 1971 book "1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.0." Creeley and Okamura met in Mallorca in the 1950s. Okamura is an American of Japanese descent. A well-known and often reproduced image. Very scarce.

This is the first letterpress edition, second printing, with the word 'Buddha' spelled properly at line 16. McNeil A15d. 500 copies printed. According to some, Snyder withdrew this issue shortly after printing, and not many were distributed. The first broadside edition of this poem appeared in 1967 in a smaller format.

Limited to 300 copies, this was issued in a portfolio with nine other broadsides under the title: "A Poetry Folio, 1964 / San Francisco / Arts Festival". Offered here singly. Although it was intended that all copies be signed by both Snyder and Greene, in fact only some were; some were signed only by Snyder, and some by neither. McNeil A8. This copy is signed by neither.

Published anonymously, on the occasion of the Sierra Club's Biennial Wilderness Conference in San Francisco. Snyder had 1000 copies printed, which he and a friend distributed in the lobby of the San Francisco Hilton Hotel, the site of the conference. A fine copy. McNeil A20a. Many versions and varieties of this poem exist (at the base it states: may be reproduced free forever); this one conforms to McNeil's description of the first edition.
