An Epistle To A Friend. Frontispiece by Helen Kapp., Collier (John)
33 Collier (John) An Epistle To A Friend. Frontispiece by Helen Kapp.
London: Ulysses Press, 1932. First
First edition. Green stiff wrappers, plain, unlettered. A bit of sunning along spine and edges, some bumps to edges, but a nice clean copy. Inscribed on the front end paper: "Uncle Doug - from all at No 40. / Christmas 1935". Limited to 99 copies, all signed by the author; this copy, however, is out-of-series, neither numbered nor signed on the colophon leaf. A pencil note on the inner cover indicates that this was the author's own copy. We cannot verify this, but it is not unlikely that this is one of the author's personal copies, which he may have presented to a relative. A very scarce book.

This edition is limited to 100 copies, hand-bound, numbered, and signed by the author". This looks to be the text from the Heinemann collection, hand numbered, signed and bound.
