Small 8vo., dark green boards, front cover lettered in black. [56]pp. Illustrated with a full-page plate and several photographic illustrations in the text. An illustration of the Curfew Tower in Cushendall, probably clipped from a magazine or newspaper, is pasted to the inner rear cover. A couple of folded page corners, but a fine copy. A historical memoir of this village in Northern Ireland, formerly known as Newtown Glens. A scarce book.

Contains one plate, of the bomb exploding, and several maps. The cover and all text is in Japanese, save for the title in English at the top of the front cover: NO MORE HIROSHIMA.

Cloth a bit spotty & dust soiled, a very good copy in a slightly worn dust jacket, inner jacket spotty, some chips from corners and short tears. This copy has a small card pasted in bearing an inscription from one of the authors, Elisabeth Hodder, to Martha Nichols, who drew one of the maps used to illustrate the end papers. What appears to be the original art for the map is laid into the book, a single sheet, twice folded, measuring 8.5 X 11 inches.

Original tan flexible cloth covers, spine and front cover lettered in black. Many charts & illustrations, some folding. Notice on pink paper facing the title. Old stains to back cover and spine, evidence of sticker removal from front cover. The damp has penetrated the back cover to affect the rear end paper, there are a few bent page corners and light scattered foxing, quite fresh internally. This edition is uncommon.

Front free end paper removed, some light pencil marks in margins of some leaves, a clean very good copy in general. Handsome binding design, the front cover bears the initials: J.B.F. Autobiographical work by Raden Adjeng Kartini, covering mainly the years 1899 - 1904. The English title translates as: Through Darkness to Light. Kartini was a national heroine, and worked for women's rights and education for girls in Indonesia. First published in 1911; this is the 1912 Third Edition.

The jacket has been internally reinforced with tape, which has yellowed, and there are short tears and chipping to the edges. An uncommon book, especially in the jacket. Tales of criminals and drug addicts who have come back to society. One of the illustrations depicts creatures imagined by a woman addicted to morphine.
