Love given over: or, A Satyr Against the Pride, Lust, and Inconstancy, &c. of Woman. With Sylvia's Revenge, or, A Satyr Against Man, in Answer to the Satyr Against Woman. Amended by the Author., Gould (Robert) and Richard Ames. [published anonymously].
126 Gould (Robert) and Richard Ames. [published anonymously]. Love given over: or, A Satyr Against the Pride, Lust, and Inconstancy, &c. of Woman. With Sylvia's Revenge, or, A Satyr Against Man, in Answer to the Satyr Against Woman. Amended by the Author.

London: Printed and Sold by H. Hills, in Black-fryars near the Water-side, 1710. 8vo. 24 pages. Disbound, old stains to upper corner and some yellowing & discoloration throughout. This is a DEFECTIVE copy, lacking leaf A5 (pages 9/10), and with damage to the lower inner part of leaf A4 (pages 7/8), with text loss to the lower quarter of the page. Also, trimmed a bit close, just touching on some of the page numbers at the top edge. The missing leaf is part of the first work; the second, A Satyr against Man [by Richard Ames], is complete. This booklet may have been extracted from the 1717 collection: 'A collection of the best English poetry, by several hands', published by T. Warner, which compiled a number of works printed earlier by Hills. Love Given Over was written by Gould in 1683, and Sylvia's Revenge was penned by Ames in 1688. A scarce and amusing Restoration work, sadly damaged, offered here with all faults:
