Two identical copies of this book, bound together in purple cloth, the spine lettered in gilt. Pages are browned at edges, a few page corners folded a bit, otherwise fine. The binding shows a bit of shelf wear to edges, some scuffs to covers. Both c opies have the front and back covers bound in, but likely not the spines. Covers are in very fresh condition. The adventures of Jack, Sam and Pete were serialized in THE BOY'S FRIEND and THE MARVEL.
