A little wear to spine ends and tips, a couple of wear spots along hinges, but a very attractive, bright copy, in the first binding. An important parallel-world novel, and quite entertaining. Not common in such nice condition.

An important parallel-world novel, in which a scientist sends people on a one-way trip to an uninhabited world in another dimension. Bleiler: Science-Fiction: The Early Years: 957.

London & NY: John Lane, 1919. First edition. Blue cloth, ruled and lettered in red. 4 pages of publishers ads at rear. Light rubbing to spine and minor wear to edges, a clean and quite nice copy. An uncommon collection of short stories, including a couple of war stories with fantastic content, set in the future. Grogan was the author of the notable fantasy A DROP IN INFINITY (1915). He was killed in WWI. This collection is scarce.
