NY: Albert & Charles Boni, 1926. First American edition. Black cloth designed and lettered in gilt. Pictorial end papers by Keith Henderson. Frontispiece & 5 inserted illustrations, as well as some smaller vignette illustrations in the text. Lower edge bruised, more on the rear cover than the front, a little wear to spine ends, otherwise a very nice, fresh copy in a chipped dust jacket, with some internal tape repairs, missing some pieces from the front hinge, base of spine, edges of back cover. All in all a decent copy of a book not often seen in the dust jacket. The British first edition appeared in 1922. A classic of heroic fantasy, set on the planet Mercury.
