An ALS to the editor of the Boston Transcript, submitting "the enclosed observations on Old Home Week". The editor has pancilled a note at the bottom: "To be used soon. Regular rates." Dated Cape Neddick, Maine, July 4, 1914. Two old folds, a few creases, very good condition. About 40 words on a single sheet, 5.5 X 9 inches.

NY: Riggs, 1902. First edition. Blue pictorial cloth, spine lettered in white, front cover designed in white & gilt. Frontispiece in color, and 7 b&w inserted plates by Peter Newell. Spine a bit faded, some edge wear to spine ends, a very good copy otherwise. The margins of the end papers, the plates, and their adjacent pages are discolored; some old staining along the fore-edge of the back cover. Still, a decent looking copy. Twelve adventures of Jimmieboy, one of which is a trip to Saturn. Bleiler: Science-Fiction: The Early Years: 116. BAL 757.

NY: Russell, 1902. First edition. 
Blue-green cloth designed and lettered in gilt. Many illustrations by Macauley. Light wear to edges and corners of cloth, but quite bright very good copy. A difficult book to find in decent condition. Reprinted as "Rollo in Emblemland: a Tale Inspired By Lewis Carroll's Wonderland", this is a tale similar to Alice, in which a young boy named Rollo visits an unusual country peopled with iconic characters like Uncle Sam, Puck, John Bull, Father Time, etc.

Blue-green cloth lettered and designed in gilt. Plain end papers. The gilt is faded, a couple of worn spots on spine, basically a very good copy. We have seen this book with floral end papers. Priority is unknown. BAL 714. A lawyer is outwitted by a ghost, who takes control of his body.
