Smith (Clark Ashton) In Memoriam: Clark Ashton Smith. Edited by Jack L. Chalker. With an Introduction by Ray Bradbury. Illustrations by David Prosser and Harry Warren Douthwaite.
Baltimore: Jack Chalker, 1963. First edition. Mimeographed, original wrappers, stapled. A basically fine copy. This is No. 121 of a limited edition of 450 copies (reputedly, only 387 copies). Contributions from Ray Bradbury, Theodore Sturgeon, Fritz Leiber, L. Sprague De Camp, also stories and poems by Smith himself. This copy is inscribed from one of the contributors, George Haas [who contributes a 19-page memoir of Smith] to another writer, Paul Powers. who wrote for WEIRD TALES in the 1920s. Powers has added his ownership signature, dated 1963, and someone has pasted in a cut signature of Clark Ashton Smith, which looks like it was clipped from a letter or envelope. A nice association copy. Price:
