1 Poe (Edgar Allan) et al. Graham's American Monthly Magazine Of Literature and Art. Embellished with Mezzotint and Steel Engravings, Music, Etc. George R. Graham, Editor and Proprietor. Volume XXVI.

Philadelphia: George R. Graham, 1845. Half-calf & marbled boards, spine ruled and lettered in gilt; yellow coated end papers. Old stain to lower corner of volume, numerous marginal stains throughout, some wear to spine and edges, basically very good otherwise. Twenty plates as called for, some with onionskins missing or torn. This is Volume Twenty-Six, containing the issues from January through June, 1845. James Russell Lowell contributes the article on Poe, with the accompanying portrait, which is in nice shape. Also contributions by Longfellow, J. Fenimore Cooper, Dickens.

London & NY: Routledge, [c.1880]. 
Blue decorative cloth designed and lettered in black, spine lettered in gilt. Grey end papers which bear ads for the publisher's various series. A few nicks to cloth, repair to inner hinges, some marks in the outer margins of a few leaves; a very good copy generally. Issued as Volume 34 in Routledge's Excelsior Series. The biographical memoir of Poe by Stoddard occupies the first 99 pages; the preface to the memoir is dated 1874.

[NY]: Waldorf-Astoria, 1949. 8 pages, stapled, self-wrappers. A little booklet reproducing the Poe story from Graham's Magazine of 1842. Limited to 150 copies "reproduced in facsimile to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the death of Edgar Allan Poe, and to mark the first issue of a Fantasy and Science-Fiction anthology periodical, edited by Anthony Boucher and J. Francis McComas. / Presented at the Poe Centennial Fantasy and Science-Fiction Committee Luncheon. / The Waldorf-Astoria, October 6, 1949." The periodical being launched was of course the notable Magazine of Fantasy & Science-Fiction, which is still being published.

NY: Funk & Wagnalls, (1904). 
Ten Volumes. Small 8vo. Brown cloth with embossed head on front cover, red calf spines designed and lettered in gilt. Top edges gilt. Frontispieces in all volumes, with onionskins intact. Chipping to the head of the spine on several volumes, some small repairs to spines and short splits along hinges, a clean very good set. Old stain to the upper margin of Volume 1, just the first couple of leaves. The Cameo Edition of Poe's works.
