Green cloth, front cover designed in gilt, spine lettered in gilt. Light fraying at spine ends, small stain to spine, ownership signature on front end paper; a clean, very good copy otherwise. The book has been somewhere humid at some point, and some of the leaves were sticking together; a couple of pages have been stuck to the adjacent leaves and have slight surface damage; one page has had a few words of text affected by being pulled away from the adjacent leaf. Generally, quite a decent copy. Quite scarce in the first edition, this is the classic work on splashes.
