Purple boards, pictorial paper label on front cover. Some sunning at edges, end papers foxed, a clean very good copy in the pictorial dust jacket which is yellowed at folds, and missing a chip from the upper front cover at the spine, and has a long closed tear in the front panel. Illustrated with striking colour plates by Sgt. J.W. Lambert, who transcribed and illustrated these war poems in a POW camp in Germany. Text is printed in red & black; the plates are tipped-in onto plain gray leaves.

This is one of the 186 copies bound thus. Abbott A9. A FACE is a short poem first printed in HORIZON in 1947.

A 32-page booklet. A short, whimsical reminiscence of childhood, mildly fantastic. A note within reveals that this sketch first appeared in the New York Evening Post, under the title: A Child's World. This may be the same E.L. Morris who was the author of a number of botanical works.

[New Haven, ca. 1898 - 1900]. Small 4to. Original porous paper pictorial wrappers. The spine has been repaired with red cloth tape (perhaps re-attaching loose covers); it may be removeable, but will surely leave behind glue residue. Some tears to the edges of first and final leaves, edge wear and some chipping, generally very good otherwise. Clever verse and humorous illustrations [by Raymond Moreau Crosby], relating to student life at Yale. This is possibly Morris's first published work, done while a student at Yale.
