[np/nd Harvard University, 1911?]. A 4-page booklet measuring 6.25 x 8.5 inches. Twice folded, it has cracked parway across the horizontal fold, some edge wear, otherwise very good. This copy has a holograph correction on page 3, the addition of the word "that" in the final sentence. It is a different setting of type from the copy shown on the Harvard website, which has the missing word included. This appears to be a proof or preliminary copy.

A Cabinet Card / Cabinet Photograph of poet Richard Hovey, ca. 1890s. This is a photo of Hovey mounted on a stiff card measuring 4.25 x 6.5 inches. Photographer is M.J. Steffens, Chicago. Small stain to lower corner, not affecting image, very good condition. Written in pen on the reverse, in an unknown hand: "Richard Hovey the poet." Hovey was a romantic poet of the late 19th century, who collaborated with Bliss Carman. He appears in this photo in a decorative doorway. Hovey, who fancied himself an American Oscar Wilde, was a lecturer on aesthetics, and an English professor.
