Together with an Alphabetically Arranged List of every Railroad Station in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Principal Cities, Lakes, Rivers, Islands and Mountain Peaks of the Entire Globe, and other Statistical Tables on all Geographical Subjects.
Chicago: Continental Publishing Company, 1887.
Small folio. 9.5 x 12.5 inches. Original brown cloth, front cover designed and lettered in black. Missing the front end paper and perhaps fly leaf, also missing the last page (215/216) which was probably printed with tables. Front cover nearly loose, loose in binding, split along front hinge, title page loose and worn at edges, scribbling in the blank margins of some maps, very good otherwise. Internally quite decent, the maps all in good shape. 101 pages of maps (world map, hemispheres, and pages 34-129); also some tables. Copyright is 1887 by Rand, McNally; many of the maps also copyright by Rand, McNally, some dated 1886. Worldcat lists this edition with 3 holdings, and another of this publisher from 1889. This is very similar to the Rand, McNally Standard Atlas of the World, which was also published in Chicago by Continental in 1887. Scarce.
