A single leaf, 8.5 x 11 inches, creased horizontally where once folded, very good. Dated 4/7/72 this begins: "Miss AKN / I am concerned over the possibility of using an / Executive Type swivel chair in the general reading / room of the new Bancroft Library". Pencil notes indicate that the possible author (signed 'GPH') was a G.P. Hammond. Printer may have been Wm. P. Barlow, but this is unverified.

[San Francisco?: The author?], 2007. A broadside poem on yellow stock, 8.5 x 11 inches. Slight wrinkling, a fine copy. Signed by Berkson above his printed name at the base. This poem is an acrostic, spelling out the name Marian Parmenter; it was composed for, and read at, her retirement celebration at Fort Mason in 2007. Scarce. In an envelope which bears a handwritten explanation of its provenance, and accompanied by a copy of the invitation to the event.

[Hertfordshire]: Starwheel Press, 1980. First edition. A green portfolio, pictorial label on front cover, containing 5 broadsides, and two descriptive sheets. Fine condition. Limited to 52 copies. The five broadsides each combine the work of a poet with an artist; the combinations are: James Berry & Helen Hawley [Air and Clod] / John Ormond & Mary Norman [Among Friends] / Emma Rose & Clarissa Upchurch [Dream] / Fred Sedgwick & Corridan Graddon [In St. Philip's Churchyard] / Anne Stevenson & George Szirtes [Ah Babel]. Each broadside is signed by the artist and the poet, all number 32 of 52 numbered copies. One corner of the portfolio is slightly bent, otherwise fine. Handsomely printed, the broadsides are quite attractive. An early production of The Starwheel Press, which was co-edited by George Szirtes and Clarissa Upchurch.

This poetry sheet was distributed free in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district in 1968. Printed by Graham Mackintosh as a White Rabbit Broadside. Johnston B3. This is the correct first printing, easily distinguished from the second printing of 1969, which was reset and printed on smaller paper. Not common in fine condition.
