Some holing along front hinge, spine is rubbed, boards dust-soiled, short tear in one text page, scattered foxing throughout; a very good copy in general. Many engravings by Anderson. There was an earlier printing, in 1837.

London: Lund, Humphries, 1924. Second printing - first printed 1921. This is Number One of a series of five Festival Cards by Modern Artists. It is designed by C. Lovat Fraser. A single leaf, twice folded to make a booklet. A colour plate by Fraser is tipped in to face a poem: "Christmas" by George Wither. In the original plain manila mailing envelope, which is slightly dust soiled and has some tears; the booklet is fine, with a tiny fold to the lower corner of the plate, not touching the image. An attractive colour plate by Fraser, measuring about 7.5 X 6 inches. Also there are small colour images on both covers.

A 24-page booklet, finely printed, reproducing 14 of Ritscher's illustrations. Also there is one tipped-in cut on rag paper, signed in pencil by the artist. Some faint dust soiling, but a fine copy. A pencilled note in the front indicates that ca. 500 copies were printed, but many fewer bound. Very scarce.

Walthamstow Antiquarian Society, Supplementary Publication No. 15, 1926. 4to. Tan stiff wrappers lettered in brown, sewn with red string. Short tears to the overhanging edges of the wrappers, some rubbing to edges, rubber band? remnants on upper back cover; a very good copy. Illustrated with twelve plates on glossy paper, the final one of which celebrates the life of William Morris. He is also included in one panel of the first plate.

Boston: Estes and Lauriat, 1877. Oblong 4to. Red leather designed and lettered in gilt. Blue coated end papers. All edges gilt. Piece chipped from base of spine, some edge wear and scuffing, short split along upper front hinge; very good otherwise. The front end paper is creased, and has some light chipping to its edge. One plate is partly loose, and stands out slightly. Internally very clean and white, with no foxing of the plates. Sixteen engravings in outline by Henry Moses, from the designs of Moritz Retzsch.

First edition. Light brown cloth lettered in dark brown. A few scuffs, light edge wear, a very good copy. This copy signed on the front end paper by Loy Byrnes, cartoonist, who is profiled inside the book for his comic strip SPUNKIE. Additionally, a short typed note signed by Loy Byrnes is laid into the book at page 154-55, the section on Byrnes; there is some discoloration to those pages (from glue?) but it isn't bad. A nice association copy. The laid-in note is on pink stock, to a Mr. Keefe, making an appointment to show samples of the artist's work.

Vol. 1, No. 1. The first issue of this short-lived periodical. Folio: 29 X 47.5 cm. 58 pages. Pictorial wrappers. This copy is disbound, with some wear to the spine. There is some moderate soiling and edge wear to the outer wrappers, and a closed tear partway across the front wrapper (not touching text or illustration); basically very good otherwise. Internally the sheets are all clean, with no stains or blemishes. Sensational grotesques by Austin Spare, several double-page; also art by Charles Ricketts, Frederick Carter, Frank Brangwyn, and others. Literary contributors include De la Mare & Yeats.
