The Quebec Magazine for November 1793., Quebec Magazine.
18 Quebec Magazine. The Quebec Magazine for November 1793.

Quebec: Printed for John Neilson, 1793. Small 4to., sewn. Lacking the front cover, a little wear to edges, very good generally. A defective copy: someone has cut out the middle 1/3 of page 210/211, removed page 212/213, and cut out 2/3 of pag 259/259. This issue is paginated from pages [196] through 259. A pencil note on the first leaf suggests that it is Vol. III, No. 4 in the series. The back cover carries ads for Copper-plate Printing, Book-binding and other items. Some parts of the text are entirely in French, but much of it is bilingual in French & English, on facing pages. The missing leaf 212/213 evidently carried the English version of a notice about the death of Joshua Reynolds; it is present in the French version on page 214. Various political and war news, an account of the trial of General Custine, brief mention of Nelson at the surrender of Toulon, some news of Lord Hood. Offered with all faults.
